Time for Self-Care
This retreat is not only an opportunity for you to rest and renew, but it’s an opportunity to learn more about the lasting peace only God can give and claim it for yourself.
Peace is a personal choice. Even if the circumstances of your life are in chaos, you can choose peace. It’s not easy, but with insight and practice, you can experience dramatic improvement in your attitude and perspective.
Learn to quiet your mind so you can hear from God. Learn to let go of old thoughts and patterns that run your life, so the Holy Spirit can take over.
The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:6
True Self: The world tells us lies about ourselves (and others) all the time.
“You’re not enough.”
“You don’t have enough.”
“You’re broken beyond repair.”
“You’re too fat/you’re too thin.”
“You”ll never be loved.”
“It’s all your fault/It’s all their fault.”
You may have been listening to the lies of this world for so long that you have begun to believe them and even given them power – but the True You, the beloved child of God, is still very much in tact and ready to help you obliterate the lies that have held you captive.
