Lisa Murphy
Tanya Cary is a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse with over 10 years of psychiatric nursing experience. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Clemson University in 2012. Upon graduation, she worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. She later pursued her Master’s degree from Liberty University and graduated in May 2021 with her MSN in Nursing Education. She is currently employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs and has been with the VA for the last 8 years. Committed to promoting mental health, providing compassionate care, and striving for excellence within nursing practice, she was recently awarded the DAISY Award for her contributions to her Veteran population. She describes herself as a lifelong learner and mental health advocate. Her clinical interests include research and suicide prevention. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, water/ski sports, and spending time with family.
