Lisa Murphy

For over 35 years Lisa Murphy has volunteered in her community in whatever season of life. As a military spouse for 22 years, she balanced multiple responsibilities while her husband Robert served in the Marine Corps.

Currently Lisa is on staff with Clubhouse Community of Hope. She is a certified Mental Health Coach through Light University, a trained facilitator for the National Alliance on Mental Illness where she co-facilitates an Augusta Family Support Group for families who have loved ones with mental illness and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. Previously Lisa served on the Board of Directors, Aiken County Homeless Coalition, which was created to raise awareness of homelessness in Aiken County, SC.

Her work with these organizations and with the Overflow Foundation serve to bring together the two difficult worlds of homelessness and mental illness.

Lisa is originally from Carmel, New York; she and her husband have three grown children and four grandchildren.
